“I’ll see you again won’t I?” the young silver haired boy asked his mermaid love. They were a year apart in age. He was 1 year older than her. He was 9. She was 8. They had met by chance when she had run from her home, a very large kingdom deep in the sea. Her black hair was streaked with a silvery blue. It looked like someone had taken pieces of moonlight and put it in her hair. A silvery blue pearl hung around her neck by a silver chain.
“I don’t know. I hope so. I love you.” She said softly as she kissed him on the cheek. She placed her pearl in his hands. He placed a crescent shaped necklace in hers. Another mermaid came out of the water. She grabbed the boy’s love by the wrist and yanked her along with her.
“I’ll meet you here again in 8 years! I promise!” she screamed.

Soon after, the kingdoms were attacked. Gaito came after the mermaid princesses for their pearls. Darkness overcame one of the young girl’s best friends. The mermaid was Sarah. The yellow mermaid princess, Coco, was soon captured, along with Noelle, one of Rina’s best friends. Gaito’s main obsession was the most powerful pearl of them all, the lunar pearl. Its silvery blue sheen was the most amazing of the pearls. Not many knew of it. Not many knew that there was a princess that ruled over all of the seas. The only force above her being Aqua Regina. Sarah, Rina, and Coco were the only mermaids that knew of her existence. The only reason that they knew was because her home was right in the middle of their kingdoms.

Gaito now knew where the kingdom where the lunar mermaid princess lived was. It was all thanks to Sarah. She happened to know the lunar princess very well and had told him exactly where to look. They were chasing the young girl now.

The mermaid pulled the locket up so that she could see it. She was sitting on her bed gazing at the locket that her love, her only love, had given to her nearly 8 years before. In one week it would be the day when she would go back to the surface to see him again. Only one more week and it would be her 16th birthday and she would go to see him.
“I wonder what he looks like now.” She said with excitement and happiness. She heard a crash and looked up. She swam into the hallway to see Sarah. Her hair was midnight black. “Sarah, why is your hair…” An arm came around her head and covered her mouth.
“Don’t worry. We just came for your pearl.” A cold voice said from behind her. Sarah swam up to her and looked her over.
“Where is your pearl?” Sarah asked quickly.
She bit the person who had his hand over her mouth’s hand.
“I DON’T HAVE IT AND YOU’D NEVER GET IT FROM ME ANYWAY!” she screamed. As she swam as fast as she could through the large blue hallways she cried at the loss of one of her closest friends. A bolt of energy came zipping past her. She swam faster. Pain exploded in the back of her head but she kept moving. She couldn’t see. A bright light flashed in front of her. She blacked out when she felt sand beneath her.
