Rina's Healing

"He-he's what?!" Rina asked in disbelief, her silver eyes wide with horror, through the telephone.

"I'm sorry Miss Toin but Masashiro Hamasaki is dead. He was in a terrible motorcycle accident. He asked, before he died, that we call to tell you about his death and to tell you that he said before he died 'I love you...Rina-chan...' I'm sorry Miss-"

Rina hung up the phone not wanting to listen to the hospital's secretary anymore. She would've liked to think this as an awful nightmare but not matter how hard she tried it still felt all to real.

'He's dead. He's dead. He's dead. He's dead.' Those cold hard words that the seceratry had told her kept repeating in her head. She quickly ran out of Pearl Waters, the other mermaid princesses already asleep as it was already nighttime, and into the ocean transforming into the green mermaid that she was.

"NOOOOOOO!!" Rina screamed to absolutely no one, as it was it seemed the entire ocean was compeletly silent. Tears began to spill from her eyes as she swam in no praticalar direction until throwing herself onto the sandy ocean floor.

"How could this…? Why didn't I ask him to…?” Rina asked herself these meaningless questions but it did nothing to cease her crying.

"Why did this happen!! What did he, no what did I do wrong!!" Rina shouted to what might of been a being called fate but she received no answer. Soon all she could feel was a cold numbness eloping her body and darkness filling her sight.

'I'm going to die here. Alone on the cold hard sea floor,' Rina thought morbidly between sobs.

'At least, I'll be with you now forever Hamasaki' Rina thought as the unceasing tears ran down her face and she slowly began to close her eyes. Silently awaiting death alone.

Earlier in Gaito's sea...

Gaito opened his eyes to see a bright light in front of him. He looked around to see that he was in his newly remade castle. Sara was nowhere to be seen though.

"Who are you? Where is Sara? How am I here at all? Why is my castle here?" Gaito asked frantically attempting to stand and barily succedding.

The light dulled down to reveal Aqua Regina in all her glory. "Sara has now moved on to the next life, now that the orange mermaid princess Seira has been born. And you, Gaito, have been given a new chance at life and love."

"Love? Who could I possible love besides Sara!?" Gaito asked becoming angry. The mere thought of being able to love anyone other than Sara frightened him more than enraged him. And the fact that he would never see Sara again saddened him greatly.

"You will. I have a task for you," Aqua Regina continued, unmoved by Gaito's rage. "The green mermaid princess has also lost her loved one and is going to fade away and die soon as she has forgotten the will to move on. Go to her and save her. She is near the town where Kaito and Luchia, as well as the other mermaid princesses are currently staying." Aqua Regina slowly then faded away, leaving Gaito fustrated, confused and saddened.

'I must do it, I suppose. If Aqua Regina ordered then I have no other choice. After all, she has given me another chance," Gaito thought grimly and using what power he had regained, teleported himself to the area where Rina was.

Rina slowly could feel her heart rate slowly and her mind beginning to numb. She didn't know how she was going to die, as she could breath under water being a mermaid but she knew she was now in the hands of death. And she wasn't the least bit frightened.

But a voice calling for her broke her out of death's grip for a moment. Opening her eyes she heard the voice again.

"Green Mermaid Princess!!" The voice called out to her, it was getting louder and closer. Rina though remained uncornced and slowly tried to drift back into the arms of death. So she could be with the one she loved.

"Rina Toin don't you dare die!!" The voice shouted out with such ferocity that Rina had to open her eyes again. She could see the shadow of the being coming very close to her know, though it almost appeared like it was running more so than swimming. As it came closer Rina saw that it was in the form of a human. A male human to be exact.
