Megumi smiled to herself as she sat down on her chair. She was all by herself for once, usually she had Jun or Ryuu with her, but not today. She picked up her notebook and decided to write some lyrics for a new song of hers.
She frowned, she was half way through her song, when she got stuck on a line. In the past whenever she wrote lyrics, they just seemed to flow; she had never experienced writer's block or lyricist block before (whatever you wanted to call it,) and she did not like it one bit.
"What you doing?" A deep male voice purred in her ear.
Megumi shivered to the feel of his breath on her skin, she closed her eyes for a second before opening. She knew who that was. What was he doing here? This was a private place for the SA not just a place for any stranger to come sneaking in.
Not that he was a stranger, but still only members of the SA could come in here. It was strictly prohibited for other people to enter. She felt his hand, trailing the nape of her neck, sending small tremors coursing through her body. She took an intake of breath, her eyes closed once more. Then she remembered who it was that was so tenderly caressing her, and she slammed her notepad shut and turned her head around to face her tormenter.
Yahiro smirked at her, "Let me see what you were writing."
Megumi hugged the notepad to her chest, shaking her head defiantly.
He smirked once more and sat on the table in front of her. His eyes never leaving her face. She blushed under his gaze and clutched the notebook tighter to her chest.
"C'mon let me see it." Yahiro repeated his eyes intently looking at her, as if she was a part of some amusing game of his.
Stubborn as ever, she shook her head, wondering what he would resort to, to get her lyrics.
Normally she wouldn't mind, but these lyrics where private, her innermost feelings where poured out in them, so there was no chance in hell Yahiro was even having a peek at them.
Yahiro shrugged and grabbed one of Akira's cakes, that she had left there.
"So where are the rest?" Yahiro changed the subject taking a bite of Akira's cake then putting it back on the plate.
'Hikari's challenged Kei again' Megumi scribbled on a blank piece of paper.
Yahiro chuckled, "Will she ever quit? She is never going to win."
Megumi glared and wrote, 'She might'
Megumi doubted it though, the chances of Hikari beating Kei was very unlikely. Still Megumi had a duty to stick up for her friends.
"No she won't," Yahiro answered.
Megumi frowned, 'What are you doing here anyway?'
Yahiro smiled disappeared his face solemn, "You wouldn't believe me."
Megumi's curiosity was risen, but she also felt the need to comfort him, seeing his saddened expression, 'Tell me.'
Yahiro smiled weakly and repeated, "You wouldn't believe me, no matter what I said."
Megumi left her notepad unguarded on her chair and reached out towards him. She rested her hand on his shoulder reassuringly and used her precious voice.
"Tell me," She repeated encouragingly.
Yahiro shifted uncomfortably, "I wanted to make my peace with the SA. I know I caused trouble for you all, but…"
Megumi's eyes widened, "You really are a good guy."
Yahiro moved his hand over hers and stroked her fingers, "Just don't tell anyone, I have a reputation to uphold."
"Your secret is safe with me," Megumi smiled warmly at Yahiro.
Unfortunately while caught off guard, Megumi watched as Yahiro went towards the chair and grabbed her notebook. He had tricked her, playing on her good nature.
"I can't believe you fell for that!" Yahiro chuckled, "Now Let's see these lyrics of yours."
"Give it back!" Megumi ordered.
Yahiro shook his head, enjoying the rise he was getting from her.
Megumi frowned and tried to snatch it back, Yahiro only waved it higher dodging her jumps.
Megumi knew she was not going to get it back that easily, she needed to trick him, like he tricked her, preferably before he read them. Then it came to her. Megumi pretended to give up and pouted up at him.
"Given up so easily?" Yahiro teased her, he brought himself down to her level.
Megumi reacted instantly, she wrapped her hands around his hair and passionately brought her lips in his. To her surprise he kissed her back with as much passion and force. While Yahiro was distracted, Megumi grabbed her notebook from his hand.
As the kiss ended she smiled cheekily, waving the notebook in his face.
"I can't believe you fell for that!" Megumi laughed and walked away with a smile playing on her lips.
Yahiro smirked as he watched her go. It all went according to plan. He never expected it to work so well. So he had tricked Megumi into kissing him, now all he had to do, was make her fall in love with him.
