Chapter 8
Wake Up

I was beginning to have a hard time to see. My chest and arms hurt so much. Then everything went black. I felt like that my time has come. It was getting colder. I was going to die any second. Then, I heard voices.

"Oh my god! Brie! Wake up! wake up!" it said. The voice wasn't Rin or Len. It was someone else.

"Hurry! She's over here! Call an Ambulance!" I recognized the voice. It was Jeremiah's voice! He was okay. I heard more voices but my hearing was fading away. Then I couldn't hear or feel anything. My senses were gone. After about twenty five minutes, I began to regain my senses. I began to hear people talking. I began to feel again. My chest and arms started hurting again, but not as much as it did before. I began to see things again. Everything was blurry. I couldn't tell what was going on. I couldn't tell if I was alive or dead. One of the people talking looked at me.

"Oh she's awake." She said. I looked around. My vision was still blurry.

"Do you want your glasses?" said the woman. I slowly nodded. She put my glasses on for me. They never feel right when another person puts them on for me, but I could see okay now. I looked at the people. They were all doctors.

"uhh...What...happened..?" I asked.

"You got stabbed and your friend found you with a police officer." said the woman doctor. "They called you an ambulance and brought you here ." Right when she said that I got stabbed, I remembered what happened.

"But... I thought I was dead.." I said. "I lost a lot of blood.."

"You almost died." said another doctor. "But you managed to get through the surgery alright."

"Oh I see." I said. "I'm just glad that I lived.." Then Jeremiah came into the room. He rushed over to me.

"Brie! I'm so glad you're okay." He said. "I thought you were gonna die" He was getting teary eyed.

"I almost did.." I said. "So much happened to me..."

"like what?"

"Well..."

I tried telling them what happened. But they didn't believe me. Even Jeremiah didn't believe me. All the talk of dolls turning into humans, magic cinnamon sticks, and bright orange eyes made them all think I was crazy.

"You should just rest for a while." said one of the doctor's. "You were probably just imagining all of that. You were attacked by a rapist while you were in the forest." I was annoyed. They didn't believe me at all!

"No! I wasn't attacked by a rapist!" I yelled. "I was attacked by Rin and Len! My old dolls!" They didn't say anything. They all left the room. Jeremiah was about to leave.

'Wait! Jeremiah!" I said.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Did you get your iphone back?"

"Yeah. It was laying next to you when we found you in the forest." He took his iphone out of his pocket and put it back in. I smiled.

"I'm glad you're okay. But what happened to you?" I asked

"Well I was holding onto your hand but then the fog got me lost. I wandered around, and eventually I found the way out of the forest." he answered. "You weren't with me when I got out, so I got worried. I tried going back inside to find you, but every time I went into the forest and followed a path, I always end up outside the forest again. I was getting worried about you so I called Mike to help me out, and we went inside the forest again. Then, we found you on the ground with a knife in your chest. We called you an ambulance and got you to the hospital in time."

"You saved my life..." I said. "Thank you.."

"Your welcome." He smiled. He left the room.
