Chapter 8
Finally Over

Miku fell to her knees and screamed loudly while tears ran down her face. They had killed Mikuo and she couldn't do anything about it. All she could do was cry loudly and mourn the death of her brother just like Kaito was mourning the death of his sister.

"Its going to be okay, Hatsune" Neru said, placing her hand on Miku's shoulder. "Its okay"

"No, its not!" Miku screamed. "You don't know what it feels like to lose the only family member you have and to have them die right in front of you! Its really painful, Akita! Its really painful to watch him die!"

"I don't know what its like" Neru said. "My parents are still alive and my brother Nero is also so I really don't know what its like"

Miku just glared over at Ted and Teto. "What is wrong with you? You little physcos!"

Ted smirked. "I killed everyone I wanted to kill. Now, I'll be nice and lt all of you people go. The only thing you have to do is promise that you won't call the cops on me and Teto. That's all you need to do"

"Like hell I won't!" Miku yelled. "I'll make sure your ass is behind bars!"

Ted laughed. "I won't be behind bars or you'll die"

"I'm getting out of here ALIVE" Miku screamed. "And then I'll never see you again!"

Ted silently pulled out a remote. It had only one button on it and Miku just stared at the blood red button as it her life depended on it cause you never knew. Her life COULD be depending on it.

"This is the control to a bomb" Ted said, stroking the back of the remote. "A bomb that will kill us all. If you even move to get out of that door then I'll press it and all of us will die in the explosion"

"Bunr in hell!" Miku screamed. "Press it! I don't care! I'll get to see Mikuo again!"

Ted ignored Miku and turned around to Neru, Luka, and Kaito who were meanwhile untying the Kagamines who had almost fainted in fright. Once both of them were untied, they all just stood behind Miku.

"Ted, what happened to you?" Rin asked, in a shaky voice. "We all thought we could trust you and Teto"

Teto frowned. "Nothing's wrong with either one of us"

"Then why have you killed Mikuo and Kaiko?" Len yelled out. "They were innocent!"

"Shut up, Len. I never liked you" Ted said. "Be quiet or something happens to Rin"

Len's mouth closed and formed a deep frown. "Fine. Just don't hurt Rin"

Rin blushed and looked down at her feet.

"Awwwww, how sweet" Ted said, smirking. "A forbidden love!"

Rin blushed more and said nothing while Len was going over how to kill Ted and take the remote away from him in one shot. Len studied is surroundings, trying to find something that he could use in his plan. His eyes landed on Ted's axe which was halfway across the room. Len lingered on it for a moment before looking at Rin one last time, thinking he was going to die, and dashed over to the axe and picked it up.

"Let me and everyone else go or I'll throw your precious axe at you" Len said.

Ted turned to Len. "Do it. You'll only make me press the button. Right when it kills me, I'll press down on it and you all will die!"

Len narrowed his eyes and rose the axe above his head. He threw it forward which Ted made no move to save himself. The axe hit Ted in his shoulder and red blood poured ut of the area. Len ran forward to Rin and dragged her and Neru out while Kaito tried to get Miku and Luka out. Ted and Teto still made no move. They weren't even going to stop them form escaping. Why?

Ted smiled and pressed the button. "Goodbye, Kagamines"

The whole place exploded and Len jumped out holding Rin close to him in an attempt to protect her from the fire. As a result, Len had his back and a few areas on his arms burned severely but Rin was okay.

"At least we got out" Kaito said, walking over to Len to see if he was okay.

"But what about Ted and Teto?" Neru asked.

"If we're lucky, they're dead" Len said, curling up into a ball over the pain.

Ted's POV

The only reason we made no move to go after them was simply because I don't see the point. I mean, we had killed everyone we wanted to kill. We were going to let the Kagamines go in the end unless they died of course but we had succeeded in everything else.

The buliding was burning down and I just stood next to Teto, watching it.

"At least they didn't find out you were a Vocaloid" I said, smiling at Teto.

"Goodbye, Ted" she just simply said.

"Goodbye, Teto"

And then the whole building collapsed.

Normal POV

Police cars were stationed around the whole entire area. People had gathered to see what exactly had happened to the old abandoned garage. One cop was questioning Miku and Kaito, who had called the police in the first place and two other cops were asking Len and Rin questions. Everyone was still shaken up and Len had already gotten treated for his wounds so besides that all was well.

"Kagamine Len, Rin" an officer walked up to them. "Could my sister and I ask you a few questions?"

Rin stared at him. The officer had blonde hair and beautiful violet eyes. Rin would say that he stood at about five feet or a little bit more. Rin figured that him and his sister were twins due to the fact that they looked exactly alike.

"Sure" Len said, looking up. "What would you like to know?"

"Okay, first of all I should introduce myself" the officer said. "I am Ishtal Sekai and this is my sister Ishtal Rin"

Rin frowned. "Can we call you Rin-san so we don't get each other mixed up?"

Ishtal Rin nodded. "Of course you can. It makes me feel kind of old though"

"How old are you, Rin-san?" Rin asked.

"Sixteen" Ishtal Rin said. "My brother and I are interns on the police force. All we do is gather information"

"Two years older than us" Len said.

"SEKAI!" a voice yelled out.

"Holy crap" Sekai said. "I can't believe she actually has the nerve to come lecture me today. I told her not to come her today but I guess she just doesn't listen. Why me? Oh, why do I have to have such a stupid boss?"

"Hi, Seku-sama!" Ishtal Rin said, bowing and smiling.

"Yeah Yeah, Hi Rin" Seku said, turning to Sekai. "Why are you questioning them? I was going to do that!"

"Well, I needed to do ssomething" Sekai said, glaring at her. "What was I supposed to do?"

"You were supposed to help out Haku and Hakumei Akari who were still in shock after seeing the scene" Seku said. "They were the ones who rushed over to the scene and seen all of that awful blood?"

"Can you just ask the questions now?" Rin asked, interrupting.

Sekai turned to Rin. "Oh, sure. First question. What happened here?"

Rin and Len exchanged looks. "Well, there once was two people here. They were friends of ours and theire names were Kasane Teto and Ted. However, in the end, they ended up dying in an awful explosion" Len said.

Sekai nodded. "So, the burnt bodies we found are the Kasanes?"

Rin nodded.

"However" Sekai said. "We found a human body and a robot body"

Rin looked confused. "Who was the robot?"

"We identified the girl as the robot" Sekai continued. "She was created as a VOCALOID. She was an UTAU unit"

"Teto was a Vocaloid" Len said. "Who would have thought?"

"I think this is too much for me" Rin said.

"We could continue these questions with Hatsune Miku and Shion Kaito if you'd like" Sekai said, turning away from Len starting to hug a crying Rin. "You don't have to deal with it if you don't want to"

"We'd like that" Len asnwered as Sekai walked away.

"Shit" Sekai said, marking off the Kagamines' names from a pad. "I thought for sure that they'd be the case that would make me on a higher rank than Seku. I guess I'll just have to get there using Hatsune Miku and Shion Kaito"

Rin's POV

To be honest, I was really grateful that Sekai-san suggested that and that Len agreed to it. I couldn't take much more of this agony and pain. Teto and Ted were dead, Miku was in shock, Luka and Kaito were too tired to say anything, Len's back was badly wounded from the heat of the fire, Neru had gone home with a heavy heart, and finally me. I was crying uncontrollably in Len's arms almost every few minutes.

"I'm sorry, Len" I said, pulling out of his embrace, blushing.

"Its okay, Rin" Len said. "I'm sure we're all shook up right now"

He was right but I could tell that he wasn't as bad off as everyone else, considering that he didn't really talk to Teto and Ted alot. I knew he was hurting inside though over the fact that his two new friends that been killed. What were their names? Hatsune Mikuo? Shion Kaiko?

"Don't wory about me so much, Len" I said. "What about you? What are you feeling right now?"

Len shook his head and smiled. "I can't stop worrying about you, Rin. I care about you too much"

I blushed deeply and looked down. Len was a Vocaloid. I can't love a Vocaloid, can I? Its nearly impossible plus the fact that people think that we're brother and sister. Why am I even having these thoughts?

"I care about you too, Len" I said, smiling.

Its time I stopped caring about myself and started caring about Len.
