Chapter 2
Staying Home

Rin's POV

Guess what I did when I seen them? I punched her again. I told you people that her second punch was coming and I was serious about that. I punched her but I didn't expect her to punch back. So, we got in this giant fight and students crowded all around us just to see who would win the fight.

Now, guess where I am? If you guessed the principal's office then your a genius.

Len's POV

I don't see why she had to punch her again. Neru-chan didn't do anything wrong. We weren't even really talking that much. She was just telling me goodbye before we went home.

"Did you understand any of that?" Miku-san came and asked me.

I shook my head. "Where are they taking Rin?"

"To the principal's office" Miku-san replied. "She's in a lot of trouble for fighting"

I just stared after her. I really wanted to follow them to see what would happen but there was a big crowd around us and when I tried to leave Miku-san was holding me back until the whole crowd dispersed.

"Now that the crowds gone" Miku-san said, putting her hands on her hips. "I'm going to show you how to eavesdrop, Len-kun"

I realized that my "heart" was beating faster when Miku-san grabbed my hand and dragged me inside of the school building. I wasn't sure if it was from being embarrassed or from being scared of what Miku-san was going to make me do with her. I had the sudden urge to scream as we reached the office.

Miku-san opened the door a crack and looked inside. I just sighed.

"Miss Kagamine, I believe that your punishment will be three days of suspension and then after that you can have five days of detention when you get back" the Principal said. "I believe that is suitable"

"What about her?" Rin yelled, pointing to Neru-chan.

"She has the same" he said.

Rin smirked but Neru-chan looked baffled. "She attacked me! How can I be punished too when she started it?"

"You went along with it" he said.

Neru-chan pouted in her seat and grumbled. "How am I going to keep up with the latest gossip now? My parents are sure to take away my precious cellphone"

"Good for you, Akita" Rin said, smirking.

Neru-chan just glared at her.

"You are dismissed" he said, quickly.

Miku-san pushed me out of the way and then got up. She pulled me up and quickly stood away form the door right before Rin and Neru-chan walked out of the office.

"What are you doing here?" Rin asked me.

"Miku-san and I were waiting for you" I replied.

Miku-san nodded. "Seems like you have a bad punishment"

"You were listening?" Neru-chan said, running right up to Miku-san.

Miku nodded. "So?"

Neru-chan grumbled. "I have to go pick up my brother Nero from his school, I'll see you losers later" With that, she sauntered away and Miku-san and Rin glared at her back.

Then, Miku's mood changed to depression. "I have to go, guys" and then she left too.

"When someone mentions their brother, its enough to get her depressed about her own brother" Rin said, watching Miku-san walk away in depression. I nodded.

Poor Miku-san.

Rin's POV

The first thing I did when I got home was open up my journal to write in it. I always talk about things in it and I always feel better when I do so. I pulled it out and pulled out my favorite pen and began writing.

Dear Diary,

Today I got suspension for three whole days and then I have to go to detention too. At least I don't have to see Akita Neru for three days before my five days in hell. :) Len actually waited for me. Oh yeah, and Miku did too but at least Len waited for me. I expected him to do so since he kind of owed me after talking with Akita Neru. Len was actually sweet today though. We didn't argue as much as we used to do. I don't even think of his a vocaloid anymore. He's human. :)

The next morning was pretty eventful. Len actually made me my favorite breakfast. Probably because I was about to get yelled at. I was worried when my parents woke up.

First, they asked why I wasn't dressed for school yet. Next, they yelled at me when I told them why. And finally, they retreated to my room to lock up my computer and take away my cellphone.

"Whatever" I answered when Len asked me if I was mad. "They're my parents, they can do anything they want"

Len then probably became worried of my mental state so he stayed home with me and skipped school which I thought was sweet but awful since he would get behind in school too.

"Are you sure, Len?" I asked as he placed a plate of oranges in front of me and then sat down next to me to watch the TV in front of us which was showing something I didn't know.

"Yes, I'm sure" Len said, smiling at me. "I want to stay with you"

I couldn't help but smile back but still notice a hint of SOMETHING in Len's smile...

Neru's POV (Ugh...Neruuuuu...Your hard to do)

Its awful not being able to go to school and plus my parents took away my cellphone so now its even worse. I miss texting and I also miss seeing Len-kun. I wonder if he went to school today or if Rin held him back from coming...

"Neru-sama!" a flash of pink ran in front of me. "You can't sit here all day!"

I looked up into the of Kasane Teto staring down at me. Yes, I shared a house with the Kasanes. Their parents were friends with my parents so during school times they come and live with us when their parents go on long business trips. At the moment, they were at a business trip in China or something. I wish they had taken them with them.

"Yes I cna" I replied to her.

She frowned. "Teto doesn't like this!"

"Whatever" I said as she plopped down next to me. "Shouldn't you play with Ted?"

"Teto thinks Ted-kun doesn't like her" Teto said, shaking her head.

"TED-KUN, WILL YOU PLAY WITH TETO?" she yelled all of a sudden.

"HELL NO!" is the reply that came down the stairs.

Teto just shrugged her shoulders and I sighed. This was going to be the longest punishment of my life. And I still miss my cellphone. Why'd it have to be taken away?

Miku's POV (At school)

Rin wasn't here today, Len-kun wasn't, and also Akita wasn't. I felt alone without Rin here but I couldn't help but wonder why Len-kun wasn't here.

At the current point, Shion Kaito, the teacher, was asking me about my life at home. I was very seriously depressed, he said that he noticed. I wasn't really until he brought it up.

"Trouble with siblings?" Kaito asked me.

"No" I managed. "I don't have any"

"Trouble with parents?" Kaito asked me.

I wanted to say yes but that wasn't entirely true. My parents were killed some time ago. The murderer was someone that I didn't know and every day it haunted me.

I seen the blood.

"Miku?" Kaito asked. "Miku?"

I felt myself go pale. "Excuse me!" I said and then ran out of the room.

I vowed to find the murderer ever since then but I've never thought about it until he brought it up. I have a feeling to say sorry to someone but I don't know who.

Maybe I should visit Rin and Len-kun.
