Chapter 13
Epilogue
Rin POV:
Hi there guys! Remember me? Kagamine Rin? Well, I think I should tell you the things that have happened to me so far~ After my birthday when I had recieved the necklace, count 4 years after that (I'm 20 at that time) and Len had proposed to me. I had gladly accepted and we are now a happy family! We have two kids, one boy and one girl.. Their names are Rui and Rei. (A/N : Okay I know what you are thinking.. Rui and Rei have black hair! They can't possibly be their children! Yeah I know; They are just names.) Well, let me shut up now and you can see what we're like at this moment!
"Daddy! You're back!" Rui our daughter had said, wait no, yelled as she ran over to Len and almost tackled him.
"Rui! Remember Dad's arm is not as strong as it used to be!" Rei, our son, had maturely stated.
"It's okay! If its for my kids then it's fine!" I heard Len say as he picked her up. "Where is mommy?"
"Mommy is cleaning!" Rui had declared.
"Well, why don't you help Mommy clean then like your older brother?" Len had asked.
"Because~~ It's boring!" Rui had whimpered.
That's when I had come in and greeted Len, "Okairi Len~"
"Tadaima~" Len had said before kissing my forehead.
"Ah! Rei! Thank you for helping mommy with the housework!" I had said to Rei.
Rei smiled and said, "It's okay Mom; You said your arms were hurting earlier so I just wanted to help!"
I bent down and said, "Oh~~ Thank you~~" and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He was so mature for a 7 year old; While he was like that however, Rui was the.. less mature one... but then again she was 5...
"Your arms are hurting?" Len had asked with a slight bit of concern in his tone.
"A-Ah, yeah but it got better now that Rei helped me with the cleaning~ Don't worry about it." I said.
"Mommy's arms are hurting?" Rui had screamed.
"I-It's okay Rui! Mommy is fine!" I had said while massaging my arms at the same time.
"B-Bu-"
~ DING DONG ~
"I'll get it mom!" Rei had said.
"No! I'll get it!" Rui had said while jumping off of Len's arms.
Whew, she forgot about my arms.. If this continues, she won't stop worrying..
"Hey, are you really okay?" Len had asked while holding my hand.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it!" I mean I really was! It was just one of those regular cramps I get on my arms from working a lot in the house.
"AUNT TETO! UNCLE TED! KAI-KUN! KEKO-CHAN!" I heard Rui scream. I see that Teto and Ted are here.. Alongside her two kids Kai and Keko.
"WAHHHH! MY CUTE LITTLE NIECE AND NEPHEW! HOW ARE YOU BOTH?" I heard Teto scream back. She's just the same as our Rui..
I ran over to them and Len had followed. "Teto! Ted! How are you both?" I said with a smile. "We're good! How are you guys?" Ted had answered since Teto was too busy talking to the kids.
"We're doing pretty good too! What brings you here?" I inquired.
"Just to talk and have the kids play." Ted had said with smile.
"Haha! Well come on in!" Len had said.
As they came in that's when Keko and Kai ran up to Len and I and greeted us. After that however, they both went to play with Rui and Rei. Keko usually played with Rei, they were both very similar. They were both the same age, mature, and calm-and-collected. While Kai and Rui were the opposite of Keko and Rei. Funny how that turned out isn't it? But its good that they all have play mates. Teto, Ted, Len, and I all sat down at the dining room table and started to converse.
"Ne~ Rin! Remember when we were in high school?" Teto had started.
"Oh yeah! I remember when you were so nervous to talk to Ted." I said while laughing.
"Oh were you?" Ted had said while twirling Teto's drills.
That's when Len and I said simultaneously, "You never noticed?" with dumbfounded expressions.
"Never noticed what?" Ted asked confused.
Both Len and I turned to the sides and said quietly, "How can he be so dense...?" You could seriously see the aura of confusion with us.
"Uhhh Rin? Len? What's wrong with you guys?" Teto had asked.
"N-Nothing!" We both said in unison.
Thats when all the kids came to join us and that's when Rui asked, "Auntie! What was Mommy and Daddy like when they went to high school?" I guessed that Rui asked Teto just in case that either Len or myself wouldn't tell the entire story or something.
"Weeeeeell~ You know how your mommy and daddy are childhood friends right?"
Rei said, "Really? I didn't know that."
"Haha! Well, your mommy and daddy were both hopelessly in love~" Teto had said.
"TETO!" Len and I had said with embarrassment and slight anger.
"Hehe, and your daddy went through a playboy stage haven't you Len?" Teto inquired playfully.
"U-Uh.." Was all that Len could say. Honestly, I would like to forget about that too.. I mean on our wedding, you would not believe how many girls cried..
"What's a playboy mommy?" Rei asked.
"W-Well.." I started.
"Rui, it's when, in shorter terms, when many girls liked the same guy and the guy would play along you know?"
"Ohhh... Daddy was like that?" Rui had asked with confusion and innocense.
"A-Ah.. W-Well.." Len had started while ruffling his hair.
"Rui, doesn't that make daddy really popular then?" Hopefully making the situation more exciting for her that is.
"WAHHHHHHH IT DOES! DADDY WAS POPULAR!" Rui screamed.
We all just started laughing and had fun thinking about all those great memories.
"Ah! Mom, I wanted to always ask you this.."
"What is it Rei?" I answered with a smile.
"You always said dad's right arm wasn't as strong as it used to be, how did it get that way?" He inquired.
"Yeah Rin! I don't even know how that happened." Both Ted and Teto had said.
"Well, back when mommy was in high school, mommy was almost kidnapped by these two men who took me to a dark alley and almost did bad things to me, but daddy here saved me. While doing so, he hurt his arm really bad. I still feel really bad about that..." I said as I started to tear up thinking about how scared and sad I felt. Also the horrible feeling when you know its your fault that everything happened.
"A-Ah, Sorry you have to see me like this... E-Excuse me for a moment..." I said before walking away to the direction of the bathroom.
When I left.. (3rd person)
"Poor Rin.. It probably haunted her for a while now.." Ted had said sympathetically.
"Yeah.. I was wondering why she was always weak around that subject.." Teto said.
"I'll be back.." Len said.
"Me too! I'm going to make mommy happy!" Rui stated.
"Although we can't change what happened then, we can at least make mom happier for the future."
"You're so mature Rei, it scares me.. You're only 7 for crying out loud.." Teto said to herself.
Back to Rin's POV:
I walked to the hallway where the bathroom was and tried to stop myself from crying, but the scared Rin had come back and the memories of that scary, blood-filled, day still haunted me secretly. Although I never told anyone, I was so afraid, more than usual and to this day, I don't know why. It's not the first time that has happened to me then but yet, it was the most scariest experience of my life.
"Geez.. A-A grown woman crying isn't normal.. Why am I so stupid..?"I said to myself.
"Mommy! Why are you crying?" I hear Rui say.
"I quickly wiped my tears away, "Mommy isn't crying dear!"
"Y-Yes you were! You even called yourself the s word!" Rui countered.
"A-Ah well.." I started.
"Mom, please don't cry.. We don't want to see you so sad.." Rei had said.
"I'm not sad! Really! I'm.."I stopped. Tears were coming out again.
"Hahah... I-I-I'm n-not s-sad..."
"M-M-Mommy! D-Don't c-cry! I-If you cry t-then I c-cry..!" Rui said.
"D-Don't cry! What are you crying for?" I said.
"Mom... Please don't cry.." Rei had said..
"Rin.. Don't cry.. How many times do I have to tell you that I hate it when you cry..?" I heard Len's voice.
"S-Sorry.." I said while frantically wiping them away.
Len had come up and hugged me with Rui and Rei on the sides hugging me as well.
"We're all here for you.. So please don't cry!" They all said.
I smiled and embraced them all. "I love you all. Thank you~" I laughed.
"Ne~ Mommy! What's that necklace?" Rui had asked while wiping her tears away.
"Yeah I want to know too! Mom and Dad have the same one!" Rei had said.
Thats when both Len and I said, "It represents the Love that will never die away.."
The Kagamine Family lived happily ever since, without a tear in their lives..
