Chapter 12
Together Forever

Rin POV:

I escorted Len to the nurses and sat down next to him as I tended to his fever. It has been about 3 hours I sat next to Len tending to his fever and trying to reduce the pain in his arm. I am really worried about him.. What will happen if he can never use his arm again? It'll all be my fault..Little tears formed in my eye, but I quickly wiped them away; Think positive Rin, think positive..

I suddenly blushed at remembering what he said to me just moments ago.. He said he loved me.. I must be dreaming.. but that moment lasted for only a short moment as Len finally regained consciousness. Curse my conflicting emotions..

"A-Ah! Len! How are you feeling? And be honest.." I had asked him.

He slowly sat up and said, "I'm feeling better.."

As he sat up I put my hand on his forehead and it seemed that his fever is gone. "How is your arm?"

"It's not great, but it feels a lot better than it did before.." He said.

"Oh.. I see.." I said a little too depressed and I started to cry. Damn it Rin! You're not supposed to cry!

"Ne, Why are you crying Rin..?" Len had said while he tilted my head up to look at him.

"I-It's a-all m-my f-f-fault... Gomenn.." I said while studdering.

"Rin.. it's not your fault!" Len said sternly.

"B-But it is.." I started to say.

"I wanted to do this Rin.. Don't you know that? I wouldn't want my Rin to get hurt do I?"

"I'm sorry.."

"Stop apologizing you idiot! I told you that already!" He said as he pulled me closer and looked into my eyes. He then slowly laid a kiss on my lips. It only lasted for like 3 seconds though.

"But what can I do? You're my little idiot aren't you?" Is what he said as he pulled away from me.

I was dumbstruck at what he had just done and he suddenly brought his two fingers and lifted my lips upward and said, "I love it when my Rin smiles~" I laughed at what he had just done and gave him a hug. He hugged me back and we were sitting there hugging for what seemed like hours, and I enjoyed every minute of it.. Of course I hugged him to where it didn't hurt his arm and it made him laugh at how precautious I was. We had soon left the nurses with smiling faces and met Teto and Ted as we were leaving.

"Ne~! Len, Rin! Are you both okay?" Teto had asked very anxiously.

"Are you guys okay?" Ted had asked a lot calmer than Teto

"Yeah we're fine" Len and I said in unison.

"Are you both sure?" Ted had asked again.

"Yeah no need to worry Ted" Len had said very reassuringly.

Soon after all their questions, we all left the building since it was the end of the school day. Len had been out that long... I sighed while rubbing my eyes. Geez today sure was a long day.. My head was now starting to hurt too due to Teto and Ted's silly lovey-dovey arguments.. I then tried to ignore Teto and Ted and glanced up at Len. He was massaging his temples, and he was sweating. He seemed to be having a hard time walking straight too. I walked over to him.

"Len?" I had said to grasp his attention.

"H-H-Huh?" He had responded.

"Are you okay?" I had asked with a worried tone.

"A-Ah.. Just a little dizzy that's all.."

"Well in that case.." I started; Then I had grabbed onto Len's arm and he looked down at me shocked. "I'll make sure Len doesn't fall~" We both just laughed and we had soon arrived at Len's and I had separated ways a while ago since she wanted to go to Ted's house. When we had entered Len's room, I forced him to lay down in his bed and rest. He tried to argue with me about it, but I refused to lose this battle. Of course he soon gave up and laid down, and that's when I thought that this was the best time to ask a question..

"Ne~ Len.. Can I ask you something..?" I asked.

Len replied, "Yeah, what's up?"

"A-Ah.. Well... N-Never mind.." I said as I was trailing off..

"Hey, what's wrong? You know you can tell me anything right?" He had said.

"Of course I do.." I said rather urgently.

"Then tell mee~~~" Len had playfully responded.

"A-Ah; W-Well, I was wondering, whether you remember what had happened before you.. passed out.." I had said quietly.

"Hmmm.. Well lets see.. I don't really remember anything besides me passing out hehe.. Why? Is there something that happened?"

"A-Ah.. I see.. N-No nothing happened.." I said a little dissapointed. I was hoping that he had remembered what he had said.. You know, 'I love you'? I was really happy when he said that but, I guess that doesn't matter anymore. He kissed me to compensate..WAHHH WHAT ARE YOU SAYING RIN! DON'T THINK KISSING IS A COMPENSATION.. IT'S JUST A COINCIDENCE.. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT.. A COINCIDENCE..

He just looked at me confused, yet he still looked like he was trying hard to remember. I just nudged him and said, "Hey, its nothing to worry about."

"I have a feeling that it is important though.." He said a little too quietly..

"No it's not. Don't worry abou-" I couldn't finish because Len cut me off.

"AH! I remember now..."

"E-Eh?" I said surprised.

"I told you that I loved you right?" He said.

"Y-Y-Y-Yeah.." I said while my face got red.

"And you.. said you loved me back..." He said while covering his face with his hand.

"A-A-A-A-A-Ah... W-W-W-Well.. I-I d-d-do..." I said with my face redder than before.

"My idiot.." He said while he was carressing my cheek. Then his hand slowly dropped to the bed mattress.

"L-Len?" I said as I heard his hand hit the mattress. He had fallen asleep. I smiled at him falling asleep and moved his bangs out of the way of his face. "I really do love you~" I said as I kissed his forehead..

Time Skips to Rin's birthday~

I was supposed to meet Len here at a ice cream parlor, but it seems he is 5 minutes late.. I checked my phone, which had a background image of me and Len at a cute photosticker place, and checked the time.

"Hmm.. Len usually isn't this late.."

Oh! And for all of you that are wondering about whatever happened to Lily, Gumi and their posse, they haven't really gotten over Len, but Len had showed them how upset he was with them and that had set their minds to leaving me alone.. Although that still didn't change the face that they didn't like me... Oh well!

Then I heard a distant voice. "Rin! Over here!"

I turned around and I saw that Len was here. I waved at him and he was out of breath. "G-Gomen.. for... being.. late.."

I laughed at him and said, "It's okay! I didn't wait that long!"

"Good! Haha!" He had said.

"Anyway you said today is a special day! What day is it?" I asked very confused.

"You really don't know Rin? Of course.. Same old Rin.." He said looking dumbfounded.

"Hehe.. Sorry I don't.." I said. I know its not Len's birthday..

"Well, you'll find out when you enter the ice cream parlor then!"

"Ahh.. Okay~" I said as I entered then suddenly I heard popping.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIN!"

Ohhh, so it was my birthday.. How does someone forget their own birthday? I feel so stupid..

It was just a small gathering with just Len, Teto, Ted and Me. I mean I didn't really like big parties either soo whatever hah.

I had soooo much fun! I had recieved great things today! Teto had given me a new bow, hair accessories and a set of cute hairclips, Ted had gotten me a a song writing book. And I didn't get anything from Len. Oh well! He has done so much for me! I didn't really expect people to get me anything anyway haha!

The party, or should I say small gathering was now over and we had all left the shop. Teto said that she and Ted had to go to somewhere.. I don't know, I wasn't paying attention. But it has something to do with them being lovey-dovey with each other hehe... That's when Len invited me to his house. I agreed and followed him to his house. As soon as we arrived, we had went to his room and I noticed that nobody was home. I was guessing that Neru and her boyfriend had a date or something.. I don't know.. Anyway, Len had closed the door and he had pulled out a card and gave it to me.. and then he pulled out a rectangular box and gave it to me.

"A-Ah.. Wh-" I started.

"Happy Birthday Rin.." He said with a smile.

"Y-You didn't have to!" I had said shocked.

"Well, today is the most special day in the world! How could I not hehe" He said very cheerful.

I laughed and slowly accepted the box and card. I had opened the box and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! It was a beautiful clover necklace. Let me rephrase that; It was a locket and inside had a picture of me and len together. It appeared to be a couple necklace but the second slot was empty. Len had his on already. Len had laughed and took the necklace from my hands and put it around my neck.

"L-Len! It's beautiful!" I had said too shocked to say anything else.

"It gets better~" He said as he put the two necklaces together to create a heart formation.

"Thank you so much..." I had said. Tears of happiness falling. I then forgot about the card and I hurriedly opened it.

Dear Rin,

Happy Birthday~ Today is your special day and the most important day of my life..

You changed my life the day we met, and you showed me the happiness of life..

Although you think that I was always positive; Believe it or not, you made me that way..

You were always the reason for my happiness and that's one of the many things I love you for..

I hope that today was a good day for you and I just want to let you know that..

I love more than anything in this world..

I dropped the card and ran up to Len and embraced him. Tears of happiness still overflowing from my eyes.

"Len, I love you too~ Thank you for everything~"

"Your welcome, My Rin.."

We stood there embracing each other for what seemed for so long.. The clover necklaces bonding together to create that heart that will never ever be torn apart.. Never..
