Everything Left Behind

A little girl, at the age of 8, ran to her brother and started to complain.

"Lennn! I tripped on that rock!" The girl whined while fresh tears were flowing from her eyes. Her brother bent down and took a look at her bruise "Let's go back home and tell mommy or daddy. It needs medicine, Rin." "B-but . . . Medicine hurts!" She started to cry louder. "Aww, come one, if you don't, that'll get more painful!" "B-but still!" The girl cried harder, it started to get attention from the people around them. "Don't worry, I'll gently put the medicine on your bruise." The girl lessened her crying and started sniffing. "Okay, Fine." Rin said, while pouting and puffing her cheek."It'll be alright." Len caressed his sister's cheek. "For sure!" He grinned at his sister, who returned the grin.

Len. That one name basically defines my life. No kidding. He was the only person that helped me in times when I'm lonely. He is the light to the darkness of my life. But everything changed on that day. That day.

"Hello! I'm Miku hatsune! From now one, I'll become your neighbor! Nice to meet you!" A young girl, with long teal hair that was in pigtails said with a cheerful expression. Len, looked completely stunned. "I-I'm Le-Len K-Kaga-Kagamine! Ni-Nice too m-m-meet you t-too!" He said while trying hard to hide his blush. "Rin Kagamine." I said, with a blank expression. "Well, Len and Rin, want to play right now?" Little Miku asked the twins. "Sure! Right, Rin?" He turned to look at me, with a desperate expression on his face. "No. . . um. . . I still have to do homework. You two go ahead~" I said, scratching the back of my head "Well then, Let's go Len!" Miku cheerfully set off to the playground. Without hesitation, Len took steps away from me and catched up with Miku. The whole day, I watched them play and have fun from the window of mine and Len's room.

Ever since, Len never stopped being beside Miku. They would always do stuff together. They would even do the things only the duo, Rin and Len, would do.

I miss him.

I miss my other half.

I miss my brother.

I really do.

But I try to forget every feeling of jealousy as Miku, dressed in a white gown, and Len, wearing a black tux, walked down the aisle, arms linked and sharing the same happy grins. While I, Rin Kagamine, move on and leave everything behind.
