Fools' Kiss

Rin peeks around the corner of the wall. She sees him near the opened windows at the end of the hall.

'There he is!' She thinks nervously to herself.

Today is April Fools' Day. April Fools' Day is a day to pull tricks on one and the other. It is a day full of lies and mischievous intentions. For girls, like Rin, it simply means 'opposite day'. Where 'yes' means 'no' and 'no' means 'yes'.

Today is going to be the day where Rin will finally confess her secret, yet not so secret, love to Len.

She had originally planned on confessing to him on Valentine's Day, but… Well… Let's just say that there were too many girls and Rin isn't the most romantic person in the world.

'Oh… I hope Miku is right!'

"It'll be a cinch Rin! All you have to do is confess to Len on April Fools' Day… You don't even have to say 'I love you!' or anything like that!" Miku says, trying to convince her friend.

"Yeah, but what if he takes it the wrong way?" Rin sighs.

"That's why you yell 'April Fools!' right after!"

"But still…"

"Rin! Remember, you are the predator! He is your prey!"

"When you put it like that…"

"It's a 'Kiss and Run' plan Rin! All you have to do is run up to him and…"

'I'm really going to do it! Here I go…' Taking in a huge amount of air, the 'predator' marches straight up to her 'prey'.

"Hey Rin." Len grins at the red-faced girl.

"I… I hate you Len!" With an abrupt shout and a swift kiss on the lips, Rin pivots and runs the opposite direction.

Halfway down the hall, Rin manages to sputter, "A-april Fools'!"

Finally getting the idea, Len shouts at the fleeing girl, "I hate you too Rin!"

Rin blushes while silently thinking, 'He likes me… He likes me… HE LIKES ME… He likes me…'

Meanwhile, in the shadows of the janitor's closet, a small camcorder can be seen.

"Tee-hee… I'm definitely posting this online!"
