Chapter 16
Forever and Always

Len POV:

Rin and I separated from our kiss and we both laughed. I was finally, completely happy inside.. I was always worried that she would never find that light.. The light that represented her happiness in her dark, black, personality. I took Rin's hand and we decided to go back to class. Apperently everyone had cleaned up the classroom because of the fact that the second part of school was about to start. School went by incredibly and unbelievably fast and the final bell had already rang. I stood up and gathered my stuff and saw that Rin was still packing her things in her bag.

"Here let me help you~" I said with a smile.

"A-Ah, okay." Rin had said with a smile as well.

As I was helping her I saw girls whimpering in the corner; almost as if they were mourning.. I sighed and ignored them.. It happens all the time, no matter where I am.. They apperently don't want to accept the fact that I like someone.. no wait, love someone.. To be honest, it's hard to believe that I would love someone like this... I would have never thought that I would actually fall in love with someone.. Especially someone like Rin..

"Len?" I heard Rin say.

I snapped out of my trance and handed Rin her things. "S-Sorry.. I was thinking about something else.."

"O-Oh.. It's fine.." Rin said as she grasped at her necklace that I had gotten her. That seems to be her habit lately.. I think it's kind of cute..

"Let's get home now.." I said with a smile.

"Okay!" She said with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in the world.

As we were walking home I couldn't help but to grab her hand. At first she looked shocked but soon after she smiled and kept her fragile, small hands in mine. I felt a little embarrassed thinking about something so wierd but I shook it off and kept a smile on my face. It was really a true smile. One of the only times that I actually truly smile in my lifetime. I was good at faking happiness but the person right here next to me was able to make me smile again.

"What are you smiling for Len?" Rin had asked confused. Her confused face was adorable. Her head was tilted and her face almost pouted.

"I'm smiling because I'm finally able to be happy because of you~" I said with a matter-of-factly tone.

"A-Ah" She said but turned away with a tremendous blush spread across her face.

I just laughed and turned her face towards me. She just gave me the cutest look and in response, I leaned in to put her forehead against mine. After a couple seconds we started laughing and continued our way home, hand-in-hand.

When we had returned home, Rin started right away with helping either my mother or myself as much as she could. I kept telling her that it was okay and that we wanted her to stay with us. It's not like we wanted her to work for exchange of her residence here. She was just permitted to stay here without having to do anything. But no matter what I tell her, she refuses to take a rest. She had cleaned the whole house, made dinner, and so on and so forth. It kind of made me uneasy, but my mother was just amazed at how helpful Rin was.

It was soon very late and we decided to go to sleep for the day. We finally have a bed in the guest room so now Rin has her own bed to sleep in. Before she had went inside (technically her room now), I had kissed her forehead goodnight and left the room.

Haha.. She really is something..

The Next Morning..

I walked up to Rin's room, wondering if she was awake yet. It was school after all. I knocked on the door before coming inside and opened the door. She was sound asleep. She probably used up a lot of energy for all those chores she did yesterday.

"Rin~~ Wake up~" I said with a silly tone.

"Huhhhhh? Okay..." She said as she got up. Then her eyes widened and looked at the time and she frantically gathered her things and headed to the bathroom.

I just laughed and looked for my tie for my uniform.

Rin came out of the bathroom in less than 5 minutes and ran out to the kitchen. Her bow was drooping, I was guessing that she did not tie it right since she was in a hurry. I chuckled when she was blowing it out of her view. I was about to tie my own tie on but I forgot about it for the sake of Rin's drooping bow.

"Come here, Let me fix that, haha" I said while laughing.

Flustered, Rin also countered, "W-Well, in that case let me fix your tie!"

As Rin fixed my tie, I was fixing her bow. I blushed at how close we were and also how similar we were to husband and wife. That's when I heard..

"AWWWWWWW!" Oh god..It's mother...

That's when we hurriedly did what we were doing and ran out the door for school.. That was so embarrassing..

Rin POV:

That was so embarrassing..

Len and I were too embarrassed to talk, but it didn't take long for us to start talking again. I began to be more social and much more happier. Although I never did see my father again, I still wished that I knew what had changed him to be the person he was now. Was it really because of me that he was a child abuser? I never did realize what the truth was, but it doesn't matter anymore. I never heard of my mother again either.. But that didn't matter either.. All that mattered to me was the future I have and what it held for me.. The stupid part was it took me this long to figure that out..

Time has passed.. Len and I have graduated from high school and we both attended the same college. That's when one day when I had turned the age of 20, Len had asked me if I had time..

"What did you need me for Len?" I had asked.

Len had then shook his head as if he was in a trance and bent down in one knee and took out a case. "Kagamine Rin, will you marry me?"

I gasped as he pulled out the ring and put it on my finger. I bent down and hugged him and softly said with tears of happiness, "Yes, I will.."

When Sakura-san found out that Len had proposed she had gone overboard with finding a dress and and trying to make it the "best wedding ever". Of course I told her she didn't have to, but she refused to not do anything about it.

The big day was finally here.. I was going to get married.. I stepped up to the altar and Len was in front of me.

"Do you Kagamine Rin, Take Kagamine Len as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I Do.."

"And do you Kagamine Len, Take Kagamine Rin as your lawfully-wedded wife?"

"I Do.."

"You may now kiss the bride."

We kissed and Len had carried me off to our new life as husband and wife..

Our new happy life.. Although the scars of our past haven't dissapeared, that doesn't mean that we can't relive a new life...

And that everyone... Is how, Kagamine Len changed my life..
