Chapter 10
Why Do I See You Again?

Len POV:

What the hell..

Why are they here? Why are they running to me? Why? Rin's smile turned into a look of confusion. I just ran away.

"Len! Where are you going?" Rin yelled.

I'm sorry Rin but I can't face them.. I just can't..

Rin POV:

"Len! Where are you going?" I yelled to Len but it was no use..

Right before I was going to take off after him, a hand stopped me.

"Um.. Excuse me.." the lady with beautiful blonde hair said.

"Ah.. Yes.. How may I help you..?"

"Do you happen to know the young man that dashed away?"

"Uhh.. yes.. why are you asking..?"

"Is he possibly Len?"

What the hell.. How does she know his name?

"How do you know his name?"

A tear was rolling down her face. "I see.. It is him.."

"I'm confused.."

The blonde haired lady took my hand and dragged me towards the closest café and the other lady followed just behind. We entered the café and while we were sitting, I checked my phone. I'm late.. DANG IT! Oh well, this is probably more important.

"Uhm I guess I should introduce myself? I'm Kagamine Rin, and you are?"

"K-Kagamine?" the lady said.

"Yeah..?" I was confused..

The blonde lady said, "I am Kagamine Sakura and this is Kotoko Yumi.. I'm Len's mother and this is Len's foster mother."

My eyes grew wide. Now I know why Len ran away..

"W-Why are you here?" I was suddenly shaking and I was nervous..

"I want to see Len again.. We want to talk to him.." Len's mother had said.

"B-But I thought he was an orphan.. You left him!" I felt like crying.. I've been crying a lot lately..

"It wasn't my fault Rin-san.. It was—"

"I-I gotta go to school.. Goodbye." And with that I left. I didn't feel like listening to their excuses..

I decided to go to school since I was already out and I was late.. again..

"Kagamine Rin! You're late!" Luka Sensei said.

"I know sensei it won't happen again.. maybe.." Hey, at least I was honest..

I sat down in my seat and I couldn't concentrate at all..

The bell rang for lunch break..

"Rin! Where were you?" I heard my once again friend, Miku ask.

"Oh nothing.. I was just late that's all.." I lied..

"Oh? Where is Len?"

"I-I don't know.." I said somewhat depressed.

"O-Oh I see.."

It was awkward silence for after that and I was really worried..

Len..

1 week later..

Len POV:

I stayed crouched up in a corner.. I haven't eaten at all.. I wasn't hungry.. I didn't go outside for a week now, afraid I would see my foster mother again.. Although I wanted to go to school.. I just didn't have the guts to leave my house.. I'm such a baby..

But something was bugging me.. Who was that other lady?

Rin POV:

Its been a week now and I haven't seen Len since the incident.. I went to school and before the first bell rang Luka called me over and gave me a slip with an address on it.

"Rin, I want you to go to this address after school. Tutor Len on what he has missed in school okay?"

Wait did she just say Len?

Without thinking I said okay really quickly and kept staring at the clock for school day to end..

The school day was soon over and I waved goodbye to Miku. She went away with Kaito.. aww how adorable. I thought him an Meiko were an item but maybe he was going back and forth? I don't know, but I need to concentrate on Len..

I walked around for about 20 minutes losing my way most of the time, but I eventually found the house he was staying in. I knocked on the door.. He wasn't answering..

"Len..? It's me.. Rin.. Please open the door.. Please?"

Len POV:

I heard knocking and ignored it the first time until I realized it was Rin.

"Len..? It's me.. Rin.. Please open the door.. Please?"

I was wondering whether I should open the door or not.. After pondering for a long time I decided to get up and open the door. She looked rather shocked when I opened the door and she had a casual outfit on.. Her signature white ribbon, white clips clipping her bangs back, an orange blouse, and a white skirt with brown boots.

"What do you need Rin.." I said rather softly.

"Can I come in?"

I just softly nodded and turned around and sat down on the ground where I was before I answered the door. She sat down next to me and her scent of oranges made me blush a little bit. She turned her body towards me and gave me a look of concern.

"Len.. I came here to tutor you on what we are working on.. but before we do that.. please.. tell me.. what's wrong?"

She gave me her 'please tell me' pouting/concerned look.

I should probably admit that I lied to her now..

"Rin.. I lied to you.. To be honest I'm not the average orphan you think I am.." (A/N : In the chapter Len and Rin's past, Len tells Rin that he was an average orphan.)

"W-What do you mean?"

I didn't like to lie to her.. but I guess I chickened out on telling her..

"I would still be living with my foster mother right now.. you know the lady with brown hair you saw a week ago?" She just slowly nodded and gave me her full attention.

"Although I don't know who that other woman was, I saw my foster mother.. She forgot me when she was in a car accident.. I was so shocked that I got aggravated and ran away.. And here I am now.. Stupid huh?"

Rin looked at me with sadness.. Was she sad that I lied to her?

Rin POV:

"I-I'm sorry.. Len.."

He just weakly chuckled and said, "What are you sorry for?" He sounded like he lost a lot of energy.

I suddenly thought of something.. "Len.. Please tell me you've been eating propertly.."

He didn't answer..

"L-Len? Y-You've been eating right?"

He still hasn't answered.

"L-Len"

I shook him and he fell to the ground. My eyes grew wide and I placed my hand on his forehead. "He's burning up.." I quickly ran into his kitchen and I looked for medicine.. I saw anti-depressants.

Holy shit.. Don't tell me he was taking this..

It was empty..

A good thing was I knew what to do.. I went through my mom taking anti-depressants and she went overboard. I pulled Len up to his bed and I placed a cold, wet towel on his forehead. I had porridge cooking in his oven.

Luckily he had ingredients for my porridge..

I carried fever redusing medicine in my bag just in case things like this would happen with my mom and good thing I brought my bag. Len was breathing heavily but he was soon awake.

"Len.. why were you taking anti-depressants?" I said with a worried look..

He replied softly and weakly, "S-Sorry.."

I got a spoon and told him to open his mouth for the medicine. He slowly opened his mouth and took the medicine. He slept for about an hour and his fever reduced. I was watching him just in case anything else had happened and he woke up again with a lot more energy.

I entered the room with the porridge that I had just finished making.

"Sorry Rin.." He said while slowly sitting up..

I just softly smiled, "It's okay.. Here say 'ahhh'"

He blushed.. "W-What?"

I blushed a little too, "W-Well you don't have that much energy so I should feed you right?"

"O-Oh yeah.." He gently opened his mouth and ate the food I made him…

He soon finished his food and I decided I should tell him an important thing that I was saving, for last.

"Arigatou Rin! The porridge was yummy" he said with a little smile.

"Ne.. Len.. Can I ask you something?"

He just shook his head nervously. "Do you miss your mom?"

There was an awkward silence, but he finally said.. "I want to meet her.. I want to see her.. I guess I could say I miss her then.."

I was gripping on to my skirt.. "Well.."

Len POV:
Rin looked really scared… She was gripping onto her skirt and she finally said, "You know that other lady that was with your foster mom? Well she was your.. mother.." My eyes grew wide and I saw that Rin was crying..

"W-What?"

"Len.. She's your mom.."

What.. The.. Hell.. You're Joking Right..
