Chapter 5

"Aah~" Rin yawned, stretching. She looked to her left to see a tiny kitten curled up into a ball, sleeping. She tripped downstairs, knowing what she wanted; the almighty orange. It was the early hours of the morning, but Rin didn't care. All she wanted was food. She grabbed an orange from the fruit bowl and peeled it gleefully. She popped a piece into her mouth and for a moment, was in heaven. That was until a figure loomed over her, a dark aura surrounding it.

"You woke me up." Len said darkly, glaring at Rin, "In the early hours of the morning."

Rin snickered, "So?"

Len gazed at her, "I don't like being woken up...and by the way, you have orange juice on your face."

Rin immediately wiped the juice on the back her hand, blushing, "Pervert!"

"What?" Len asked sleepily, "I was just stating a fact, and anyway, I'm going back to bed."

Rin slapped herself mentally, knowing that she was thinking strange thoughts for no reason. It wasn't as if Len wanted to lick her again, anyway. He went back upstairs, and she heard her bed creak his he climbed back in it. Unfortunately, Rin couldn't get back to sleep - so she watched TV.

By the time morning came, Rin was exhausted. She was dumb not to sleep. Her eyes were red from staring at the TV for see long and she looked and felt irritable. Len plopped beside Rin on the sofa, a lopsided smile on his face.

"Hey," Len said, "Where's my fish?"

"Get it yourself!" Rin spat, turning dangerously red, "I don't want to deal with you!"

"Well, okay." Len said, standing up and walking towards the kitchen when the doorbell rang. He walked to the door to get it.

"A cosplay cat?" A person asked before jumping on Len, her dark pink twin tails following her moments. She was ruffling Len's hair until Rin came over.

"Teto?" Rin asked grumpily, "What are you doing here?"

"No, the question is; who is this little kid that's cosplaying a cat?" Teto asked, standing up and pulling Len up with her. The blond boy growled, much to Rin's displeasure.

"Oh!" Rin exclaimed, "You see - er - that's my twin brother!"

Teto gasped dramatically, "Twin brother? You never told?"

Rin was happy that her secret prayers that Teto would buy that lie seemed to work, "Yeah, he lived with my aunt."

Teto looked at Len with an inquisitive look on her face, "What's his name?"

"Len, Len Kagamine." Rin replied, "He's fourteen, obviously..."

"He's so cute!" Teto said, she continued ruffling Len's hair, "So-so cute!"

Len sniffed Teto, much to the pink haired girls surprise.

"Fish?" He muttered, "Fish!"

The girls could only watch as he invaded Teto's shopping bags and found a raw tuna in it. They stared as he bit into it, not bothering to skin and bake it as a normal person would.

"Hmn~" Len said, "Nice~"

"Woah!" Teto cheered, "That was awesome! How do you eat that so fast and...raw?"

"Eh?" Len asked, "I-"

"Such a cute voice~!" Teto exclaimed, "I love you already!"

"Hey, Rinny-kins!" Neru said as Rin opened the door on her, "I came t- Oh, Teto."

Neru glared icily at Teto, making the girl flinch.

"Neru." Teto said, finding the courage to glare back at Neru, although she wasn't sure why Neru was always mean to her.

"Anyway, I should go, Rinny-kins!" Neru said, "By-"

But Neru stopped when Len walked out into her view.

"Wow...who's that?" Neru asked.

"My twin, Len." Rin lied, "He just came home from the north."

"He's even cuter than you~!" Neru said, "I love his cosplay, I love you, Len~!"

Rin and Teto face palmed whilst Len pulled an expression of pure terror. He quickly changed it though, he changed it to a smirk. He walked towards Neru and anybody could see he was about to crush her.

"Grow a chest and maybe I'll consider you." Len whispered seductively, but the words hurt.

"...What did you say?" Neru asked angrily.

"Do I need to spell it out for you? Get. Some. Boobs." Len laughed, "I only like girls with them."

Neru's expression turned to one of terror, knowing she had been beaten, "Get some balls?"

"I had the balls to make a decent cuss, didn't I?" Len replied, "Shoo."

Len slammed the door of Neru's face, sighing. He didn't like to be rude to anyone, but that airhead had it coming...At 10000 miles an hour.

"Gosh, Len you are amazing, I love you~" Teto laughed, "Nobody has ever stood up to flatty-patty Neru~"

"Whatever, I'm going to nap." Len said and they both imagined Rin face palming from the kitchen.
