Chapter 2
Rin yawned when she awoke to the sound of her alarm and stroke the still sleeping ball of fluff in her arms. The fluff ball woke up and licked Rin's hand happily, another thing she wasn't expecting.
"Aw, good morning kitty..." Rin said, her voice thick with sleep. She placed her kitten back on her bed before speaking again, "I have school today, but I'll leave some food out for you, okay?"
"Nya!" Was it Rin, or did it sound depressed? Rin shook away the thought and picked up her school clothes before entering the bathroom.
Once she was ready, she walked out of the bathroom and saw that her kitten was pawing a piece of paper that seemed to have fallen to the floor.
"Nya!" Rin walked over to it, wondering what could possibly be written on the paper. 'LEN' was written on it.
"Len, that's a name, right?" Rin asked, confused. All she got was 'Nya!' in response, "You like it, don't you? Okay, your name can be Len!"
She stroke Len with a grin on her face but suddenly remember that school was her top priority and headed downstairs. Before making her own breakfast, Rin grabbed a bowl from the counter and emptied more of the packet of cat food into it. She then made her own breakfast - cereal, toast and an orange. She looked around her kitchen with a blank expression on her face whilst eating. It was plain, with tiled flooring and pale blue walls, but that was the way she liked it. There was a stove which Rin dared not touch and the infamous microwave - which Rin used to cook most of her meals. Perfect.
One of the only good things about her kitchen was the grand oak table in middle which looked awesome. Nobody would ever be able to top how old that table was, it had to be older than her grandmother. That was why she loved it. (and the fact that the fruit bowl was on that table) Rin finished eating and left the house, feeling sorry for her lonely kitten.
Len heard the door slam and quickly jumped off of the bed, it was getting uncomfortable anyway. He checked again to make sure Rin was out of sight before changing into his human form. (Plus the ears and tail) He sighed.
"What can I do now? Damn it." Len muttered, "Stupid human schools."
Len pondered on what to do, but then his stomach rumbled...fish. He ran downstairs and went straight to the fridge, and there it was; a raw tuna fish. Immediately, he grabbed the fish and started to eat it at the speed of lightning. Once he was finished, he realized that he still craved food. So he went back to the fridge, to find out that there wasn't any. He groaned and stood up. He noticed the fruit, and the strangely coloured foods within.
"Yellow?" He asked to himself aloud, looking at one fruit in particular; a banana.
He walked over to the fruit bowl and picked one up, looking at it with sparkles in his eyes. He peeled the skin slowly and grinned. He at the soft fruit, in a world of his own. Once he had finished, he had to admit it;
"So much better than fish." He exclaimed, jumping with joy.
He decided Rin might be suspicious by food magically disappearing, so he sat on the sofa and watched TV until Rin got back. Actually, screw that. He watched TV for about 4 hours, the cooking channel - and then decided to go back upstairs. He managed to stay up in a perfect handstand for a whole 30 minutes until Rin got back.
"AAAHHHH!" Rin screamed, "A SHOTA CAT BOY!"
There was a thud as Len hit the hard floor with a thud in surprise. Rin tackled him as he stood up.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CAT?" Rin screamed, but she realized something. The boy she was looking at shared some resemblances to her cat. (Besides the wonderful cat ears and tail) His hair was exactly the same colour and his eyes were that heartmelting colour and shape from before, "...Len?"
"Y-Yes?" Len asked, looking scared.
"WHY THE HECK IS MY CAT A SHOTA?" Rin screamed and Len covered his ears and rolled his eyes.
'Is that the only question you can think of?' He thought.
