Math Class with the Kagamines

"So x=2 and..."

Rin slammed her head on her desk. Why? Why did math have to exist?

Across the table she shared sat Luka, next to her was Miku, and next
to Rin herself was Len.

It was great to have your best friends sit with you in the most
torturous class on the planet, but it was still boring.

"Pss, Rin."

Rin opened one eye at Len and he passed her a note. Rin was about to
take it, but the teacher saw it. "Kagamine Len! Are you passing notes
to your SLEEPING sister?"

"I wasn't sleeping!" Rin protested. "I was... Face-desking."

The teacher gave her a WTF look and turned to Len. "Give me the note."
she said, extending her hand at him.

"Uh, I'd rather not." Len said as he turned bright red. Rin wondered.
What is on that note?

"Give it, or a month's detention." the teacher said, not budging.

Len slowly and reluctantly gave her the note and she opened it up. She
instantly turned bright red and stuffed the note into her breast
pocket. "I will have a talk with you after class." she said slightly
flustered then turned back to the board.

AFTER SCHOOL

"Hey! Len! I'll wait for you outside!" Rin called to her brother as
she left class.

"Uh, you'll probably be waiting a while." he replied nervously.

"That's okay! I have Miku with me!" she skipped away with Miku
following. Luka had to go home early it was just Miku and Rin.

"Hey! Rinny, let's listen in to Len's talk with the teacher! We can
write down what she says to him then use it to blackmail him later!
That is, if anything is useful..." Miku exclaimed at Rin, who began to
have a slowly creeping grin on her face.

"Sure."

"KAGAMINE LEN! What is the meaning of this note!" the teacher screamed
which Rin and Miku heard clearly because the door was wide open. "But
first let's close this door." she said and shut it.

"Darnit!" Miku harshly whispered.

"We might still be able to hear them if we listen carefully." Rin
whispered back. "I'll write down what I hear." she took out her journal.

Later...

"Jeez, I could barely hear," Miku complained. "What did you write
down?" she asked her friend.

"Len, wrong, you shouldn't, incestuous, bad, you need, I don't want to
have to, I will, do you understand." Rin read from her journal. "Thats
all I got."

"Huh... You heard more than I did... I wond- WAIT A MINUTE!" Miku
shrieked. "Does that say INCESTUOUS?"

"That is what I heard..." Rin said, surprised at her friend's
outburst. "Why?"

"Think, RIN! He was passing YOU a note, the teacher said incestuous...
How does he ask people out?"

"By passing them a no- OH!" Rin realized.

Note+Incestuous=Len asking Rin out

Rin began to blush.

"Rinny! You need to say yes!"

"But-but..."

"No buts, Rinny! Everyone knows you already like him!"

Rin did in fact like him, but she was afraid to say so. They were
twins. What if she was rejected? What if nobody liked her after that?
Miku obviously approved. Maybe she should. But what if this whole
thing isn't actually the case?

"Well, I ask him what the note said later... Okay?" Rin told her friend.

"Okey dokey! See you later!" Miku giggled. Rin watched her skip away
while taking out her cellphone. "Hey! Luka? Yeah, guess what!" Rin
could hear her talking into the phone.

Oh god... Rin thought.

"Hey, Rin! Thanks for waiting for me!" Rin jumped at the voice of her
twin.

"Hey..." Rin's cheeks got hot. What's wrong with me? She thought as
she tried to hide her face.

"Rin, you okay? Wow, do you have a fever?" Len asked with concern as
he felt his sister's forehead.

"No, I'm fine..." Rin shook her head slightly. "So... What was on the
note?"

Len was about to answer, but Mikuo, Miku's cousin came running over
and yelled, "Yo! Len! How'd it go? Did you ask Rin out yet?"

Both Rin and Len turned BRIGHT RED.

"Mikuo, you idiot, I haven't done it yet!" Len harshly whispered. He
turned back to Rin who was staring at the ground. Len turned and gave
Mikuo a death glare. Mikuo got nervous and slowly left the twins
alone. They walked home in an akward silence. Rin didn't dare look at
Len. He felt like crap.

They went inside of their house and suddenly, Rin stepped over to Len
and hugged him. "I love you Len, I want to be with you."

Len looked at her in surprise. Then he slowly leaned in and kissed
her. She snuggled her face into his chest and hugged him harder.
