Chapter 2
We Got Detention, Lovely, Isn't It?
Miku's p.o.v
What's the worst thing that could happen to you on your first day of school? Guess it, try, yes, you got it right.
Detention.
Maybe I should tell you what exactly happened.
After the introductions, the two Kagamines (AKA Rin and Len) were totally speechless, they never thought in their life that they would even meet another person with the same name, and the same blue eyes and hair, they are soooo CUTE! They would make a very good couple, I don't care what Rin thinks, but I WOULD make them a couple no matter what, even if the world is going to end, I'll make them the cutest couple in the whole wide world!
Wait, wasn't I talking about how we got our detention?
Sorry.
I'll list all the people I could remember in our class, me, of course, Rin and Len (The two cutest people in the whole wide world!), Kaito and Meiko (Obviously they like each other), Dell and Haku (these two have the same red eyes and silver hair, and they both smell of alcohol and cigarette, strange, yet they are going to be nice couple if I just help a little bit), Gakupo, Luka, Gumi, Neru (I hate her since she kept interrupting Rin and Len), Mikuo and Piko. That's about all the people I could remember.
The thing was, I couldn't stand Neru, she kept bugging Len and she said bad things about Rin continuously so much, I slapped her. Len smiled at this point, but Rin came up to stop me, then Luka and Gakupo looked happy too and came up to join me by slapping Neru, Kaito and Meiko came up and join the fight, Len found this situation quite strange so he tried to pull Rin away (yes, he pulled Rin away and didn't care about the rest of us, how romantic is he?).
Gumi was probably Neru's friend so she tried to pull me away by tugging my very long beautiful hair and I was like 'AHHHH! Get away from me!' and Rin and Len was like 'Stop it you two!' and Kaito and Meiko was like 'Smack her there! Not the hair, not the hair! Poke her! Step on her feet! Go, Miku!' and then the others were like 'I bet ten dollars Miku would win, I bet twenty dollars that Rin and Len would…' or 'Kill her! Kill her! Go Miku! Go Luka!'
Let's just say the situation was very strange.
Which lead to a conclusion: All of the people above had gotten detention, and when I say all of the people above, I'm saying everybody had gotten detention.
Len's p.o.v
I never knew you could get so unlucky on the first day of school.
Our teacher had just suddenly disappeared, leaving almost every people here go crazy, especially after the fight between Miku and Neru, although I really will like it if Miku would just kill her, I'll worship her.
The only thing I did was talk to Rin (Miku forced us to talk, I don't know why, so don't ask). I found out she loves oranges and ribbons, and she has a very cool imagination, I could tell her to think of an elephant and suddenly she tells me she thought of an elephant choking on an orange and got rolled over by a road roller. I think it's cool; people who have good imagination must be good at making conclusions (which could really help me in projects). We both sang songs and gave each other comment about them, she was a great singer, and she really puts all her emotions into her songs, I love the way she sings "Daughter of Evil," it was fantastic.
But strangely, we found Miku, Kaito and Meiko spying on us from the corner, so that's why we kept sneezing.
Both of us found something even stranger, the way that Gakupo and Luka acted, it was like they were deciding whatever they should do with us, they kept examining us and it was making Rin and I very uncomfortable. But I did notice Luka holding five little boxes, each had different colors, one green, one blue, one red, but two yellow.
Green, maybe is Miku.
Blue, probably Kaito.
Red, no doubt is Meiko.
Two yellow, is it referring to the two of us?
We got our answer later.
Rin's p.o.v
Eventually Meiko, Kaito and Miku joined us; we talk about everything from our hobbies to strange fantasy that involves killer teddy bears and chainsaws.
Len likes bananas, and he is very smart, I asked him about twenty questions and he could answer every one of them, for example, 'What is the meaning of Paradichlorobenzene?'
He answered, "Paradichlorobenzene is an organic compound with the formula C6H4Cl2. This colorless solid has a strong odor. It consists of two chlorine atoms substituted at opposing sites on a benzene ring. P-DCB is used a pesticide and a deodorant, most familiarly in mothballs in which it is a replacement for the more traditional naphthalene."
All the time he answered, I stared at him unbelievably and said, "You are not human."
Then he quickly cut in and said, "I forgot to say that P-DCB is also used as a precursor in the production of the polymer poly (p-phenylene sulfide)."
"Definitely not human," I said, and he laughed.
He was very good at singing; I just love how he sang the song "Servant of Evil," it was better than the original version, he sing it like he was the servant in the story, the servant in The Story of Evil, the famous book that got sold out in four days time, luckily, I got one of them.
Meiko loved drinking wine, her favorite color is red (Isn't that obvious?), she's been friends with Kaito since they were seven, Kaito always wears his scarf since it was a gift from Meiko, he treasured it like it was his only fortune.
Then Luka came over and joined us, but that smile was still so disturbing me, Len looked at her suspiciously, but the others didn't really care much. They started chatting, but Len and I didn't want to talk with her, we were feeling uneasy, then she brought out the five little boxes.
"These are gifts for the five of you, I always find your voices beautiful, Miku and Rin, you two participate in the World Singing Competition and won the second prize, right? Len won the fourth prize that time. Meiko and Kaito once beat me in another competition, but they probably don't recognize me." She said casually, as if she was the most normal person in the whole wide galaxy.
She gave the blue one to Kaito and the two yellow ones to Len and me, but she gave the green one to Meiko and the red one to Miku.
Both of us look strangely at the two boxes Luka gave to them two. But they didn't mind at all, so we didn't really care much about it, I didn't see what they got, but both of us got the same necklace.
It was a beautiful necklace with silver and black mini chains, with a teardrop shape topaz. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, maybe it was just my imagination reacting, but even though the color made it look beautiful and peaceful, it has a dangerous aura around it, telling me that I shouldn't wear this on. But everybody didn't seem to mind, so I wear the necklace, it fits perfectly on me.
Miku got a red ribbon with beautiful laces and black lines, she used it to tie up her hair and it look elegant on her, but it still felt like there was something wrong with it.
Meiko got a green bracelet, Kaito got a blue ring.
"Why are you giving us these?" Len asked suspiciously.
"Well," Luka smiled, "why can't I give gifts to the people I admired?"
Len's eyes narrowed and he frowned. There was just something wrong with these things, it just didn't feel right, I don't know why, both of us just had this feeling.
Len's p.o.v
That night, I went to Rin's house.
Don't get it wrong, I went to study, sometimes; I could never tell the difference between chlorobenzene and benzene. We were also talking about how our singings are; I tried all the songs I could remember.
Rin sang the song, 'Message of Regret,' she had such a lovely voice, I sang 'Re_Birthday', and she said she love it. Strangely, I blushed. I learned that her parents pass away and she didn't have any other family, she lives alone in this house and never went anyway except to markets, school and the seaside.
"The seaside?" I asked.
"Yes, there was a legend that if you put a message in a bottle and let it flow down the sea, your wish would come true," Rin said.
"Really?"
"I don't really know, the last time I tried, the bottle flow back, so it didn't work." She sighed.
I thought for a while, "Do you have any more bottles?"
She nodded and I continue saying, "I have two more in my cabinet, wait here while I go and get it," then she stood up and head outside, a minute later she came in with two little glass bottles, they look fragile, but they don't break so easily (And to proof it, Rin drop it from the second floor, when she got the bottle back, it didn't even have a crack on it.)
"What if it breaks?" I asked curiously.
"Oh, it won't, I've tried it for about twenty-six times, it never broke," She smiled.
I was speechless.
After a very long time of silence, I finally said, "we'll write our wishes onto it, then at the weekend, I'll accompany you to the seaside, we'll release the bottles, okay?"
She nodded and went to get a piece of paper and said that these papers don't easily get wet, but I quickly stop her from trying to dip the papers in water. I wrote my wish onto it, a wish only I would know, no one else, no one except me, just me, a wish I would really do anything for it to come true.
I put my wish into the bottle and sealed it, Rin did the same thing.
"Promise you would go with me?" Rin asked me.
"Promise." I said, "no matter what happens."
Luka had a reason to why she change the colors of the gift she gave to Meiko and Miku. It was probably obvious, Kaito was in love with Meiko, not Miku, unlike the original story, he wouldn't really be that sad if Miku was the one who died, so of course, Meiko was going to be the 'Lady of Green,' although maybe she should change it into 'Lady of Red'.
Things were going as she had planned.
