Words From My Heart

Chapter 16

After we had dropped everyone off, mom drove Rin and I home. Then she asked us a question in which the question, was well, questionable. "Rin, Len? Would you two like to come live with me in my apartment?" Rin and I thought for a moment. Then I remembered all the good times I had with Rin while living ourselves. It may be difficult sometimes, but that's what keeps it fun. I shook my head, and Rin mimicked me. "Sorry mom. But I like taking care of Rin, all by myself." I smiled, as I hugged Rin close.

Mom gave a bit of a sad face, but then told us, "Alright. But I'll be over often, and we'll be going more often then you probably did." I nod, as she pulls into our driveway. I unbuckle, then open my door once she stops. I help Rin out first, and then I get out behind her. "Bye mom." I say, as I wave. "Bye mama." Rin says, also waving. "Goodnight you two." My mom replies, backing out of the driveway. She gives one last wave, then drives away.

Once we got to the front door, I grabbed the house key I keep under the doormat. I unlocked the door, then we stepped in. Once we stepped inside, I say, "Rin? Can you go in the bathroom for just a minute, and don't come out until I tell you to." She nods, and makes her way to the bathroom. I run to our bedroom, and grab armful after armful of Rin's favorite teddy bears. I set them all up nice, and yell for Rin to come back. When stepped in, she giggled at what I did. She walks over and she stands next to me. "Which is your favorite?" I ask, with lame wonder. Rin giggled, then hugged me. "This one. This is my favorite teddy bear." I smile, and hug her back.

"I love you Rin." I say, kissing her forehead. "I love you too, Len."
